Hamburg on two wheels
Directly below the Jacob, it's either straight down the Elbe for almost 150 km to the North Sea or 10 km up the Elbe to the fish auction hall, the Landungsbrücken and the Elbphilharmonie. So it's a fundamental decision: do you whiz your bike towards the countryside or towards the metropolis? We have a small snack package ready for your bike tour.
Bicycles from MyBoo
At Jacob we are always looking for regional partners for your very special Hamburg experience and so we are happy that with the bikes from myBoo we can offer you bamboo bikes that are produced here in the north of Germany. myBoo is a bicycle manufactory from Kiel that has been producing high quality bamboo bike frames together with a social project from Ghana for 7 years.
Countryside tour or city tour?
Whether downstream or upstream: Both routes are absolutely worthwhile, completely different and offer impressive contrasts. Or you can take the ferry to the Alte Land and travel along great paths through Europe's largest fruit-growing area. You'll be amazed at the great views of picturesque Blankenese from the dike paths.
And if you can't decide: Just stay a few days longer and have a cycling vacation à la Jacob.
